PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The CBS 3 I-Team has learned that a Catholic priest who was removed from the ministry over sex abuse allegations now holds a sensitive security post at Philadelphia International Airport.

The security checkpoint between Terminals D and E is a busy place where thousands of people – including lots of kids – pass through every day. But you might not believe who the I-Team observed working as a TSA supervisor at that checkpoint this week: Thomas Harkins.

Until 2002, Harkins was a Catholic priest working at churches across South Jersey. But the Diocese of Camden removed him from ministry because it found he sexually abused two young girls. Now, in a new lawsuit, a third woman is claiming she also is one of Harkins’ victims.

The I-Team asked Harkins about the suit as he was leaving his shift at the airport.

“I have nothing to say,” was Harkins’ reply.

So they found ONE priest this week who sexually abused three girls.

How many teachers have had sex with their students just this week? Thousands? You bet! Where is the report on all of those cases of sexual abuse?

Unions don’t do background checks, eh?

It’s just a small part of the huge case for disbanding the TSA and letting the airports hire QUALIFIED SECURITY who know what the fuck they’re doing.

Looks like he took a bad road to hell.

First he illegally molest, then signs on a union to harass and molest legally.
This must be why democrats are against shutting TSA down, they get union money, create jobs for knuckledraggers and molesters, and get votes.

did anyone else hear that it’s going to cost more for airplane ‘riders’ to sit with their family ?

i’m not a traveler, but it seems to me that the American public is being “taken for a ride”. i think a well placed boycott would stop this shit in it’s tracks.

get rid of the TSA while your listing your demands.

fubar – The thugs in the WH union figure they have the public between a rock and a hard place. If you quit flying, you’ll hurt the airline industry. Airlines are private concerns (so far), but the gubmint can always print cash to pay the TSA.

If we quit flying, the corruptocrats would be only too happy, as we’d all reduce our carbon footprint (cough, cough). Only our betters will be allowed to fly on their private jets.
