Drunk Breaks Down Wrong Door…
And Meets Resident Gun Owner ; Later, Police
There have been times I have been walking to a location, preoccupied with something, only to find I have walked somewhere else. But, once there, I never put the boots to the door because I was too drunk to realize I was in the wrong place.
Carlos Rodriquez can’t say the same:
Carlos Rodriquez thought he was home, he later told police, but the apartment door wouldn’t open. So he kicked it in.
He was greeted by a woman with a gun, and he obeyed her order to lie on the ground until police arrived.

Smart move by Carlos – to lie on the ground until the Police arrived.

“Well, this is awkward!” and “Thank you for not shooting first, Ma’am” come to mind, if Carlos is looking for something to say.
-I’ve been locked out of my house, but any ‘breaking-in’ I’ve attempted never involved actual breaking, since I’m also the ‘fixing’ guy. Might be different if I was drunk, but I doubt it.

Mighty neighborly of the lady to give him a chance to hit the dirt before squirting off a round.

This reminds me of a shirt/bumper sticker that I saw at a gun show
“In case of emergency I dial 1911″
With the image of a Colt model 1911 pistol in background

This story is patently untrue. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT GUNS KILL PEOPLE. There was a gun, there was a minority – ipso facto, he’d be dead, were this story real.

I REALLY hope this story goes viral so people can see what is in front of their faces.
Lady has gun, she gets to tell intruder what to do (wait for police).
Lady has gun taken away from her: We all know the dreadful possibilities.
