As NewsBusters noted while the media celebrated Bill Clinton’s involvement in an Obama campaign ad spiking the bin Laden’s dead football, the former President should never have appeared in such a video given his administration having passed on numerous opportunities to kill or capture the al Qaeda leader before 9/11.

On Sunday, CBS’s 60 Minutes detailed such an occurrence in late summer 1999

So if Clinton had given the order to kill Bin Ladin in 1999 when the CIA had him in their sights, there would have been no 9/11/01. All Bushes fault.

So CBS fires the retalitory strike on Clinton after his comments came out in the Obummer expose book!

I’m glad I didn’t bet on that, because I thought for sure NBC was going to be the one to do it.

RightWinger has a point, but I’m lately getting the feeling that the MSM is increasingly getting out the long knives to thrust in Obi-Won’s back.

    Anyone else?

LOL Diogenes :D Only one hard thing at a time! ;)

@ bitterclinger: the left/lamestream media won’t fully turn on Obama until after November when they see that he has cost them not only media credibility with Indies, but also all 3 branches of grubbermint — and not just to RINOs but to TEA partyers!

If the SEALS had taken out Bin Laden under Bush’s watch, the left/lamestream media would be calling it “murder”

Hopefully schoolchildren will be taught one day how the Democrat party almost destroyed America….but we overcame in the end.

Calling someone a Democrat will be worse than calling them a Nazi.

I despise Kilnton for his multiple failures to take out Bin Laden. There was more than one opportunity he missed. The intel community was aware of Al Quaeda at least as far back as 1996 when they were planning on taking out multiple US flagged 747s over the Pacific Ocean. He was an anti-military wuss. This has been documented in the book “loosing Bin Laden” by Richard Miniter an several other sources.

Also, Klinton along with big Donk dollar donor Bernie Schwartz severely compromised classified technology to China, which ended up in North Korea.

Thanks to Willard and Garelick, we had the misguided notion of trying these cases in a criminal court with the applicable burden of proof beyond a reasonable doubt, and the erection of a “Chinese wall” between agencies to prohibit the sharing of intelligence.

I think we now see what that brought us in 2001.

Hey, maybe now Disney will re-release “The Path to 9/11 that they buried after one showing (well ABC buried it and refused to issue a DVD no doubt groveling at the feet and under the command of the Mouse). Naw, even if they were pissed at Clinton for slapping Obama they wouldn’t do that. Remember this when booking vacations at the magic kingdom folks. Maybe Six Flags is looking better.
