Truant Teens Dictate Policy

Home - by - May 12, 2012 - 13:45 America/New_York - 15 Comments

This is emblematic of leftist thinking.

What do you do if you have a problem with kids being chronically truant on Fridays?

You simply eliminate school days on Friday!! Easy Peasy.

Now look for the kids to cut Mondays. They have the imbeciles on the run. (By the way, MSN endorses this for everyone!)

MSN

SCHOOL’S OUT FOREVER! Or maybe just Fridays. It might be TGIT for a city in Alaska that’s considering shortening its school week to Monday through Thursday beginning in 2013. Yes, that means three-day weekends all year long. The decision is driven partly by how many school kids are skipping Fridays anyway, and the fact that dividing the same hours of class time among fewer days actually gives kids more time with teachers. The four-day week would be given a trial two-year period if the proposal passes, and we suggest that if the trial period works we, as a nation, make it the new norm for everybody: schoolchildren, office workers, everybody.

You know, people murder people even though murder is illegal. We should just repeal all laws against murder.

    Liberalism isn’t a philosophy; it’s a freaking mental disorder.

@ This is emblematic of leftist thinking.

There’s another hidden but obvious possibility. You wanna screw with our benefits packages, health insurance plans, and retirement like they have in WI, which are far better than most any private business could hope to offer? We’ll work less.

Why not ban pubik school forever?? Let the little commie fucks run wild….then shoot them.

Responsible kids can go to private schools so they will be educated and one day return the world to sanity.

When you look at their proposed calendar, it lists “Friday (Voluntary Enrichment Activities), two four hour sessions 8-12 and 12-4″. What is that supposed to mean? If it’s listed as “enrichment”, it’s not school? If it’s voluntary, don’t you have to be there?

This sounds a little like Newspeak to me.

When a Cambodian was asked why he joined the communist party as a kid, he replied: “I didn’t have to go to school and I got to kill people.”

    And we’re raising them here.

    Not Cambodians – deranged children.

Oops! Hours after posting, I realized that “voluntary” is NOT the same word as “involuntary”! (Wonder where that brain freeze came from? Too early in the day? Reading too fast? Mental overload from all the garbage coming down the pike?)

At any rate, the “voluntary” enrichment activities just mean that the teachers get paid even if students don’t show up! Guaranteed pay for little or no work.

I like this idea because I’m utterly opposed to govt schools in principal. Schools? More accurate to call them mandatory govt indoctrination and conditioning institutions. With armed guards, yet.

Doing away with Friday is a good start. Next: Monday. Then Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday FTW.
