Tan-nut mom’s a doll
Only in New Jersey can you become an action figure by sitting in a tanning salon.
A Connecticut company is selling a doll modeled after Patricia Krentcil, who became a media celebrity after she was charged with allowing her then-5-year-old daughter, Anna, to sit under ultraviolet lights.
Emil Vicale, president of HeroBuilders, said everyone has friends into tanning “and we thought it was a very funny thing to do.’’
The figure, blond with an orange face, sells for $29.95.
The “tanorexic’’ Krentcil did not respond last night to requests for comment.

I love the yellow hair and the orange face. If the doll was wearing a blue dress and red shoes, it would look like something from PlaySkool.

Is the tanning bed an accessory? Does it have a dial that says Rare, Medium, and Well Done? The timer should be a smoke alarm.

@TooMuch
The Easy Bake Ovens will be sold separately. But you’ll have to use a curly neon bulb because an incandesce bulb will melt the dolls face.

@Dr. Tar and @Anonymous — I was thinking of calling it an Easy Bake Oven, but then I was going to have to find a jewish princess reference and it fell through. So I went with tanning bed.

@Annoymous & TooMuch – We haven’t run out of insults for old Leatherface here yet, have we?
Hmm, Leatherface… that reminds me of something.
Say, think the doll comes with its own chainsaw accessory?

Are you sure that doll isn’t somehow related to Stretch Armstrong?
