Beating up on coal, America’s most-used source for electricity, wasn’t enough for the Sierra Club. They now declared war on natural gas. From National Journal :

The Sierra Club is intensifying its natural-gas reform campaign and renaming it “Beyond Gas,” a spin-off of its decade-old “Beyond Coal” campaign seeking the phaseout of coal-fired power plants.

“As we push to retire coal plants, we’re going to work to make sure we’re not simultaneously switching to natural-gas infrastructure,” Sierra Club Executive Director Michael Brune told National Journal in an interview on Wednesday.

Brune declared that his organization’s mission is about [emphasis mine] “preventing new gas plants from being built wherever we can.

We need to deport these communist twits to China so they can bitch about open, raw, lignite and coal fires used there in millions of households for daily cooking and heating fires. If they ever even mentioned that, I would have a tiny grain of respect for their opinion…. nahh, they’d still be full of shit.

This is just another example that shows these whackos have no real understanding of anything in their head.

Please tell us the bad side effects of natural gas.

About 15-20 years ago, natural gas was okay by the SC. A new power plant was being built in CA and while it had to go through gov’t approval, the gov’t ran to the SC, knelt bare-headed before their eco-politburo, and asked for guidance. The answer was natural gas was okay but never the evil coal or even more evil nuclear.

I guess they’ve changed their tune. Pretty soon you’ll see a windmill on top of every house. Bird safe, of course.

I guess no more Chilli huh? Yah know if you do some research the Sierra Club can be directly blamed for the B.P. incident. What’s easier to control, an oil spill on the ground (ever heard of one?)or one on the water. Wouldn’t it be great if somebody took them to court and held them responsible.

Anyone who contributes a nickle to these environmental nitwits might as well shove a sharp pencil in their ear. Their sole goal in life is to destroy this country.

I really wonder from time to time what the agenda is for these idiots. They demand coal is outlawed, they don’t want nuclear and now natural gas is evil. Solar power has shown itself not to work (not even counting the environmental damage that manufacturering solar panels in large quantities causes), wind power also is environmentally damaging both in the manufacturing process as well as the way it creates power (as well as it not being an “on demand” source) and harms humans with low level noise pollution and there’s not enough hydro power to go around. Do they plan to harness squirrels to exercise wheels? Stupid bastards.

These dumb fucks got the state where I live to change one power plant from coal to natural gas. This was to appease these same dumb fucks to allow another coal power plant to remain a coal power plant. It was all politics and bullshit as usual.
What in the hell are we suppose to run the businesses we have on ? You cannot run big CNC machines on Wind Power ?
Dumb Fucking Sierra Club Assholes ….

I know what the answer to our energy problem is, we should all be required by the govt. to eat beans and other vegetable matter and sit around and let out great big farts just like the dinosaurs did. If everyone ate nothing but beans we should be able to lick the energy crisis maybe never. Dream on progtards, you just keep exposing yourselves aa a bigger bunch of idiots every day. What if the whole world farted all at once, would it make a difference or just smell like a bunch of hippie OWSer’s.
