As pointed out by Marathon Pundit, the girl on the right in this photo is wearing $200 Ray-Ban sunglasses. As a matter of fact, all three main “characters” in that photo are wearing glasses.

Questions: If you believe that capitalism is failing, then where did you get those glasses? Did the socialist spectacles fairy bring them to you last night? Or was it that you went to an eye doctor that gave you a prescription, then you went to a business that ground the lenses and put them into the latest hip frames of your choice? So, without capitalism you wouldn’t be able to see correctly, right? Where did you get your clothes?

I’m reading an interesting book about the history of the Nobel Peace Prize called “Peace, I Say” by Jay Nordlinger (of National Review).

He relates a story soldier, diplomat and CIA man, General Vernon Walters, tells about war and peace (and communism). He paraphrases the General…

“For over ten years bombs rained down on every village and hamlet in South Vietnam, and no one budged. It took the coming of a Communist ‘peace” to send hundreds of thousands of people out into the South China Sea, on anything that could float, or might float, to risk dehydration, piracy drowning….”

These people advocating for a communist America are incredibly stupid and delusional.

I highly recommend the book.

Golly – and I’ll bet none of them can either handle a Mosin-Nagant or know that they work best with the bayonet attached.

You see, it weights the front of the barrel and then one can keep nailing shots within a 4 inch circle at over 200 yards. Standing if you are a man.

It is also nice ’cause when you run out of ammo (the commies often did) you can ram it into the dude carrying the enemy flag.

@Hawaiian & Scribble, it’s that inconvenient “history” thing that they don’t get.

Either they haven’t READ any history or even contemporary works (e.g. “The Gulag Archipelago” by Solzhenitsyn), or in the unlikely event that they HAVE, probably subscribe to the neo-com belief that no society has done communism properly, which is why it hasn’t worked to date.

@Mr. Pinko – you are correct, except that anyone under the age of 30 has not experienced first hand the horrors of a socialist totalitarian regime, or grown up within a recent incident of such a regime.

Compound that with a inadequate public education curriculum, an ever increasing self-absorption/entitlement mentality and the influence of the aging ’60′s radicals, and you have OWS.

I swear, with God as my witness, that when the ‘revolution’ comes, I will spend the remainder of my life hunting down marxists, and teach my sons to do the same. If they destroy what little bit of civilization remains, I will make it my lifes work to utterly eradicate anyone who speaks well of redistribution and similar Marxist ilk. Socialism must become as unacceptable as cannibalism, and those who practice it need to get the same treatment as cannibals.
