What Does 1/32nd Look Like?
The Elizabeth Warren Cherokee heritage story looks like fun. Here are a few posts at Just One Minute to entertain you. Tom Maguire gives us this quote:
Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren climbs the family tree and finds a Native American in the upper branches:
A record unearthed Monday shows that Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren has a great-great-great grandmother listed in an 1894 document as a Cherokee, said a genealogist at the New England Historic and Genealogy Society.
The shred of evidence could validate her claim that she has Native American ancestry, making her 1/32 American Indian, but may not put an end to the questions swirling around the subject.
I decided to to a text based representation of what 1/32nd looks like from an ancestral mix standpoint. First, I came up with this:
| White | White | White | White |
———————————————-
| White | White | White | White |
———————————————-
| White | White | White | White |
———————————————-
| White | White | White | White |
———————————————-
| White | White | White | White |
———————————————-
| White | White | White | White |
———————————————-
| White | White | White | White |
———————————————-
| White | White | White | Indian |
Then I decided to come up with a more family tree looking representation. The problem is, to get to Great Great Great Grandmother, as is the case with the point at which Warren can claim Native American ancestry, the tree is waaaaay to wide to fit on a blog. So fellow JOM commmenter Extraneus came up with this. Each column with a W is a generation (parents, grandparents, great grandparents, etc).

@old oaks – All I know is, that if black reparations are declared by executive order, I’m sure as hell finding some black blood in my family tree.

I am sure someone in the past has already done this type of study, but I bet that 75% of the nations population can trace back to better than 1/32.
The issue is not her heritage, but the fact that she would either purposely do this for personal gain, or (even if it was a mistake) allow it to continue, hoping to get something out of it.
The bottom line is this: The American people deserve better than this from their representatives.

1894 eh? If Lez Warren released that woman’s name, she’d be found in the 1880 US Census (1890 was destroyed), more credible than some obscure 1894 document that has yet to be released itself.

The Lib-Cong are more obcessed with race than the Nazi’s. The “one-drop” rule would keep any applicant out of the Party, the SA, and the SS.
What’s next? Measuring cheekbones, noses and skull shape? I dunno.
Warren looks like a good Aryan maiden, to me. Probably, the Amerind is far enough in the backgroud to pass the Aryan Blood Panel.

That squaw Cher is a White Armenian Cherokee English French German Dutch chick.
Assuming that Dad was full Armenian (which also would make Cher crazy genetically), and assuming that all of the other blood elements are there in equal parts, it would make her, at best, about 1/10th Cherokee.
But she’s still 3X more Original Gangsta American (the Woo-woo-woo-woo-Woo-woo-woo-woo variety as opposed to East Asian “Push-starter” type) Indian than Elizabeth Warren.
And, since I lead a tribe myself (in my mind), I can say that, even now, Chief would still allow Cher to share his teepee. Squaw Warren? Lotsa fire water needed for that job.

So is she saying that tiny amount of Native American DNA is enough to cause her to be at a disadvantage? Even though she and everybody else didnt know it was there?

Yes, but as to the quantity of fight left, well…

As a little girl, I did a baton twirling routine to “Cherokee Nation.” Does this qualify me for EEOP status?
It was a really-really good routine!

I also had a “Shaft” routine. I think from here on in, I can safely consider myself multi-ethnic.
