If Life Was 2000 Frames A Second

Home - by Mr. Pinko - December 17, 2009 - 23:16 UTC - 8 Comments

Our experiences would be much different if we lived in a slowed down universe. Physics would seem altered, but they wouldn’t be. They would just be revealed. Here is a normal water drop at 2000 frames a second.

What does an abnormal water drop do? And secondly, who give a flying fornication? :)

okay, I think it’s cool. I hope I’m not going too far off on a tangent, but, speaking of frames-per-second and slowing things down . . .

Do you remember the Nike “Courage” commercial?
There were like 200 some edits crammed into a 1:00 minute spot. Some of the shots were just a couple frames long. You almost “couldn’t see them” they were so fast, and yet your brain can “see” them, because it makes an impression.

Well, watch & see what you think. & play around with slowing it down. It’s like a 1 hour movie hiding in there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ae3tFI8wXE

What this tells me is that reality is relative. The more precise the instrument we use, the more precise the reality. Perception is not reality.

As JaneLovesJesus mentions the saccadic rate of our eyes allows our brains to only process quick impulses from the eye. I seem to recall this is about 18 times a second. This is why a motion picture running at 24 frames per second appears to move when in reality it is made of individual still frames. Same reason spokes seem to go backwards in movies.

The human mind is easily tricked especially the farther it processes input away from the reasoning hemisphere as is the case with liberals.

Physics and all that other stuff aside, this world is a beautiful, magical, wondrously-made place. These kinds of stories only enforce my belief in Intelligent Design……[off soap-box now]. Thanks for posting this, Mr. Pinko.

    That’s really cool….

IO, It don’t take much to trick a liberal, a smooth talker has no problem at all…
