George Washington in “Unforgiven”

‘Black Swan’ director takes on George Washington in new biopic

Los Angeles – Isn’t it about time that a Hollywood motion picture about George Washington hit the silver screen? Paramount Pictures is in negotiations to bring the first United States President to the big screen that will be akin to “Unforgiven.”
Since the advent of film and television, there has only been one George Washington movie (a silent picture made in 1923) and a television mini-series produced in 1984 starring Barry Bostwick as the American General. Academy Award nominee Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan and Requiem for a Dream) is attached to produce and direct a screenplay by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage (Tower Heist and Accepted) the surrounds the life and career of Washington. Paramount Pictures is in negotiations to acquire “The General.”
Although plot details are relatively unknown at this point, sources have told Variety that it will not be a straight-up historical drama, but rather the story will be quite similar to the 1992 Clint Eastwood picture “Unforgiven.” It is expected that Paramount will sign the deal with Aronofsky’s Protoza Pictures within the next few days. If Paramount does pass up on the script then other distributors have the opportunity to acquire the rights.
A release date has yet to be assigned.

An Unforgiven style George Washington movie would kick butt! Clint is a bit too old and gaunt to play George (and his voice, that raspy voice, would not rally minutemen I don’t think). So, I hope he isn’t on the short list for casting. Any ideas for the title role? I like Timothy Olyphant…he can play the young George Washington. *swoon*

EXACTLY!!! Illustr8r, Honey, You know I love you… But you can’t seriously be naive enough to believe that a blockbuster Hollywood movie about President Washington would be anything but another Progressive Propaganda film… especially now during the era of all-in, “now or never”, “Bring down Imperialist America”, Obama media!!! The reason there hasn’t been a movie made about the most revered man, who did more for the good of mankind than anybody since Jesus, is that up til now, even Hollywood understood that Washington is so sacred that it would be carreer suicide to disrespect the memory of the man.

What a joke!
There isn’t an actor in the media who could portray George Washington in any believable manner.
Knowing holloywood, they will have him raping his slaves while smoking weed with Jefferson.
I would like to think any American patriot would not waste his money supporting hollywood crap anymore.

Mickey Rourke as George, Zach Galifianakis as Ben Franklin, Natalie Portman as Betsy Ross, Mila Kunis as anybody, and Jennifer Connolly’s lubricated toy from “Requiem For A Dream.”

No one has ever made a film of the atrocities by the Brits in America through 1812. The slaughter of the unarmed, the rape & destruction of towns, torture & starvation.
The Brits wanted to invade again in our Civil War.
It wasn’t till they desperately need US after their idiotocy in WWI that we became “friends” but not accepted till AFTER WWII.
Yeah I want a movie about The President, the nobility of the Colonialsts, the scum in red coats with the surrender at Yorktown.
Perhaps the Russian can do it…they did a great job with Waterloo, but not Hollyweird.

He’ will no doubt be portrayed as a Baby Killing Murderer of innocent British. A bloodthirsty savage & psychopath. that’s what Hollywood will do to Washington. Oh, did I mention that they will have him fathering slave kids too….Beating Slaves ect…
