Big Holiday in DC Today – It’s Emancipation Day, or As I Like To Call It, Remember That It Was the Republicans Who Freed the Slaves Day

Time and Date

Emancipation Day is a holiday in Washington DC to mark the anniversary of the signing of the Compensated Emancipation Act, which president Abraham Lincoln signed on April 16, 1862. It is annually held on April 16.

Here are other Holidays in April -

There are a few open dates. Maybe we should apply for a holiday. What do we want to honor, remember or celebrate?

Oh, but Fur, according to the Chicago History Museum, Lincoln was a REPUBLICAN who wasn’t concerned about freeing the slaves! Hell, the Republicans are still trying to legalize slavery and the LGBT and leather community are the true heroes of society!

I wish I were making this up but this isn’t too far from their actual narrative.

How about April 3 as –

    “Remember-when-you-didn’t-know-government-&-governmanet-didn’t-know-you-yet-everything-worked-just-fine” Day.

THAT would be a helluva day to CELEBRATE. Our Great-Great-Grandparents could tell us all about it…

Freed the slaves? Nonsense! The slaves of the 1800s were fed, housed and clothed for their work in the fields. The slaves of today are fed, housed and clothed for their work in the voting booth.
