PC can be entertaining!
I remember watching a CNN report about an incident in France where black youths were rioting. The bubble headed on-air “talent,” confident in her smart political correctness, voicing-over the clip, said, “and the police beat back the african-american rioters with batons.” Seriously, it doesn’t get any more stupid than that… Well, until now.
- The city manager in Toronto issued a new policy, he mandated the staff always try to represent the cultural mix of residents, but he didn’t think he had to tell the staff to actually depict true diversity.”Races intermingling? We hear talk of it, but it doesn’t actually happen, does it?” So, what do they do with the city’s FUN GUIDE? They stick some black guy’s head in the shot. The result looks like the picture was taken a split second before the family realized some crazy guy snuck into the shot. It’s disturbing.
- The University of Texas, Arlington is certainly doing their part to celebrate diversity. Or perhaps this is from their course catalog? Photoshop 101 – Don’t Let This Happen To You! Nothing says racial unity like a photo of 3 white girls outside hugging with a clearly indoor black stranger photoshopped into it. This is much worse than not having her in the pic at all.
- I guess the NY Times felt that this Lebanese refugee camp wasn’t diverse enough, so, apparently, they lifted some black guy from the Haitian refugee camp to rebuild history in the Times’ vision? This poor guy is now the refugee of all refugees.

A number of years ago, we had a local newscaster who referred to Nelson Mandela as an “African-American,” then he was tripping all over himself to correct it to “black.” Laughed my butt off.
