Evidently, being equated to a slut due to the action of demanding that others pay for your personal sexual choices is more egregious than talking about your sex life before members of congress. Let’s get the faux-outrage and the hypocrisy out of the way first, since Leftist hypocrisy and misogyny happens so often it’s a cliché. For the record, Rush Limbaugh never called her a slut just for being on birth control. Or even for having lots and lots of sex, if she does. I don’t know and I don’t care to know. That’s yet another media/Lefty (concentric circles on Venn diagram) lie. Stop falling for it. Had Rush called her a whore, N.O.W. would have endorsed him for Congress or Governor of CA.
Or called her a c-word or a ‘dumb tw*t? Or called Laura Ingraham a ‘slut’ instead? That’s hunky-dory, apparently. It’s totally okay if it’s the wrong kind of woman, the kind whose skirts you have to lift and check to make sure they are actually women before they vote.
But using a provocative way to point out the absolute wrongness of the arguments of a woman who freely inserted herself in the public eye and who willingly publicly discussed her personal choices (if you seek to have others pay for your personal choices, then that opens you up to scrutiny of the same. Hooray, Nanny State!) Well, that’s apparently The Worst Thing Ever. Warranting a phone call from the President, for cripes sake. Will Obama call Andrew Breitbart’s grieving family to “offer support” over truly despicable things being said about him by the Left? Gleeful reveling at the death of a husband and father of four is no big whoop, apparently. But use the word slut in reference to the action of a reported plant who wants others to subsidize her personal choices by mandate at the expense of religious and individual liberty? Presidential phone call!

Fluke’s an activist, nothing more than a useful tool of the left to further their agenda. The libs are very good at what they do, because they’ve been doing it for so long. They mask, obfuscate and redirect their true intent masterfully.
And conservatives, it seems, continue to play right into their strategy. This time it was Rush. I love him, but he went over the top in using his usual style of absurdity to demonstrate his point. It doesn’t matter that he was correct about the prostitute analogy – he could have successfully defended that comment. It was the slut term that opened the floodgate for the libs to give him the “bum rush”.
Of course, lib/progs wouldn’t be successful without cooperation from the media. Without the media, the lib/progs would be relegated to nothing more than an ideological circle-jerk in some dark closet.
Instead, at the end of the day, calling this “poor student a slut” is all the public will remember.

The mistake Rush made was backing down. What Rush ought to have said was:
“I stand by what I said and if you don’t like it, you can kiss my ass! Furhter more I don’t care if you are offened by how I see things.”
He ought to have said it each and every single time complained that they were offended by what he said.

I don’t get this whole thing about contraception. It’s not that hard (no pun intended) Hope this isn’t TMI, but my husband and I were married for FIVE YEARS before we PLANNED kids, and regularly enjoyed the marital pleasures. We used only barrier methods as I didn’t want to use anything to screw up my hormones. I also knew when I was most likely to conceive, but I understand other women are not that in tune with their cycles. Anyway, I got pregnant when I wanted, and didn’t when I didn’t want to. These days, a lot of women are using birth control pills to ease cramps and control pimples. C’mon ladies, Advil and Clearasil do the same thing, and your insurance company doesn’t have to pay for it!
