Sandra Fluke Argued for Mandatory Coverage for Sex-Change Surgery

Rather belatedly, we are becoming aware that this supposedly typical Georgetown coed is not very typical at all:

[B]irth control is not all that Ms. Fluke believes private health insurance must cover. She also, apparently, believes that it is discrimination deserving of legal action if “gender reassignment” surgeries are not covered by employer provided health insurance. She makes these views clear in an article she co-edited with Karen Hu in the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law.
The title of the article . . . is “Employment Discrimination Against LGBTQ Persons” and was published in the Journal’s 2011 Annual Review.

Remember, as Byron York previously reported, Fluke was rejected as a last-minute substitute witness at a Feb. 16 committee hearing because staffers for Chairman Issa were unable to discover Fluke’s claim to expertise relevant to the subject of the hearing. This law school journal article is the sort of thing that might have been discovered about Fluke’s background, had the Democrats who put Fluke forward as a witness done so with the usual 72-hour advance notice. Here’s one brief quote from the article:

Transgender persons wishing to undergo the gender reassignment process frequently face heterosexist employer health insurance policies that label the surgery as cosmetic or medically unnecessary and therefore uncovered.

@FenelonSpoke – I agree. I’m tired of this oblowme distraction from the “real” issues. I’m jobless and the gas prices have been killing me for a long, long time. I’m worried about our Blessed Troops in Afganistan, Iran, Russia, China,….and Isreal. OWS is destroying our cities and property on taxpayor $$….

And all the libtards want to talk about is Flucking birth control and sex change. Are you Flucking kidding me?

“Heterosexist” – what a stupid, made up, mash-up of a word.

I think Catman should have his numerous surgeries and modifications covered. He honestly believes he was born in the wrong body, just like the mentally ill individuals who seek to change their gender. His body dysmorphia just manifested itself as an animal.

I was just sitting here thinking about all this contraceptive bullshit and a thought crossed my mind. What brand of contraceptive will be mandated? What companies will produce the mandated contraceptive? Who involved in the development, production, distribution, and sales chain is in dear leaders hip pockets? Wouldn’t be surprised at all if a few congressweasels had upped their stock holdings in certain pharmaceutical companies who might happen to produce birth control. You know the “legal” inside trading that makes our representatives millionaires while they vote themselves pay raises every time it fucking comes up. I’m sure there will be mandated levels of inventory that have to be produced under Obamacare and the insurance companies will be mandated to buy it whether they need it or not. THIS IS NOT CAPITALISM. I’m losing my fucking mind.

Now, if it turns out that she’s been a Lesbian all of this time, wouldn’t that make her testimony before Congress be a lie? And since it was under oath, wouldn’t that make her wide open for a perjury charge?

And, yes, I am tired of this Leftist bitch as well.

If the big gov. feels the need to give women free birth control then I demand it give me free viagra.
women don’t have to have sex unless they want to, if they don’t have sex then they don’t need birth control right? so they are given birth control because they want to have sex and big gov. is giving it to them. I want to have sex and need vaigra so gig gov. better get me some because I demand it! and my employer should be forced to pay for it…….oh wait Rush might call me a name and hurt my feelings. forget what I just said.

She’s an activist, nothing more than a useful tool of the left to further their agenda.

The libs are very good at what they do, because they’ve been doing it for so long. They mask, obfuscate and redirect their true intent masterfully. And conservatives, it seems, continue to play right into their strategy.

This time it was Rush. I love him, but he went over the top in using his usual style of absurdity to demonstrate his point. It doesn’t matter that he was correct about the prostitute analogy – he could have successfully defended that comment. It was the slut term that opened the floodgate for the libs to give him the “bum rush”.

At the end of the day, calling this poor student a slut is all the public will remember.

One has to question what goes wrong in a woman’s life that would cause her to focus on these non-issues as her life’s mission. With the resources this privileged person has available to her, she could do some actual good, if she wasn’t so screwed up.
