I love Georgians, peanuts and farmers. But Jimmy Carter multiplies that sum by zero. At least Billy Carter earned his living selling beer (and souvenir cans still available on ebay).

If it’s any consolation, most here in GA can’t stand the man- a true embarrassment. His library has very few visitors. My father is on the tourism and trade board for a city relatively close to Plains and rarely do they ever mention Carter by name. My favorite actual newspaper clipping (from local announcements) sums it up:
“The field trip to the Jimmy Carter library has been canceled due to lack of interest.”

It would make a perfect companion piece to my clipping about Lauderhill’s (FLA) plaque for James Earl Jones in honor of MLK which read, “Thank you James Earl Ray for keeping the dream alive.”
