Believe me my wife and I have been fighting this fucking socialist economy long enough and when Breibart was on the television it was a breath of fresh air. I’m with you on this image. I would suggest you keep this thread on top or create a new one, there’s got to be somebody here that specializes in this sort of thing or maybe you have it covered. This could be a good thing. I hate to bring the crazytalk train into the station… but it occurred to me last night, that this all could be a prank. Breitbart would TOTALLY fake his own death for a stunt, wouldn’t he? Especially with all the Andy Kaufman references he’s been making lately. Notice we haven’t seen a body, no witnesses to the actual death, no 911 calls, no cause of death, no interviews with family members – in fact, there hasn’t been any “official” confirmation of any of this. Until there’s a coroner’s report, well… I’m just going to wait and see.

See, now I like the first graphic the best. It just feels stronger to me. And, was just over at Atlas Shrugs. Pamela has it up there. I liked what one of the commenters, Vinny, said: “…I like this portrait because it captures his spirit. He looks like a lion surveying the scene.” I thought that summed it up pretty well!

The second graphic is necessary because of the nature of the tee shirt printing process. It has to be separate color, not continuous tone like a painting. We’ll utilize them both, like how similar portraits are used on coinage, paper money and then stamps. – bfh

A suggestion would be to stick with one font and one color scheme / treatment for all type…not varied with some having drop shadows, others not, etc. Consistency helps branding have meaning.

Guys, I hate to be the party pooper, but you cant go making money off of Breitbart’s image. His family has copyrights,and while they may grant permission, I’d hate to be the one to ask at a time like this. But they have both legal and moral rights to use of his image for profit. I understand wanting to carry on his fight, but taking what belongs to the Breitbart family without permission is not the way to do it.

Yes, Mr Pinko, I do know how to read, and I also make tshirts and posters, etc, which is why Im familiar with copyright law. And the Breitbart family has all copyrights to his image. You ever stop to think his family might not want to see pictures of him pasted around town, vandalized by liberals, with all the nasty slurs we know they would? Unless these people have already gotten permission, which would be extremely callous to do just days after he died, they are violating the family’s copyrights, not to mention moral rights.

I didn’t even know that Andrew Breitbare had died till this afternoon. I’ve been offline due to computer maintenance and installing an extra 2 gigs of memory onto my computer for the past 9 or 10 days. I did hear about Davy Jones of The Monkees dying on Wed., you couldn’t get away from it on XM Wed. and Thurs. of this wk. I heard him ( Andrew Breitbart) yesterday while driving on Dennis Prager’s program, a best of program from last summer. I’m sorry to hear about his untimely death.

The original version, the one that you used in the photoshops showing it wild posted out in the streets, is the better version. That’s the one that they posted at Breitbart.com, because it was an arresting visual to have Andrew’s head floating with that stern look.

We’re going to celebrate with a good meal and some fancy raspberry cake my daughter concocted. Katie Bug has Down Syndrome. Every moment with her is a moment to cherish. Just having that extra “sid” data appended to the URL should not give the world a view at someone else’s account or order details. If I place an order there, how can I be sure that my data won’t be similarly propagated to strangers?

If someone were to have access to the EXACT URL with EXACT SID you used after you created your account, then they would have the exact same access as you do on this site. I attempted to make a purchase using these public credentials to see if the system was completely compromised. While it was bad enough, being able to view multiple person’s names and addresses, I was not able to access their financial data as the site is backstopped by PayPal security. Many sites work this way with no ill effects every day. As with anything, caveat emptor.

If I had someone’s exact URL data on a secure site, I wouldn’t be able to see anything. It would just revert me back to the site’s home page. A full SID URL should only return personal info when the same user is logged in and authenticated with a password and an https link, with a Lock icon displayed in browser. But this morning when I tried to order, and up until a half hour or so ago, when I used the link above I kept getting put into other people’s accounts. It was a little weird to say the least. I think it’s good that people tried to let you know ASAP because now Newsbusters is linked to this as well.You want to get all the bugs worked out, as the more exposure this gets, the more people are going to want to order. I think your cause is just, and even admirable, but it just rings too much like an echo from the big brother posters in 1984 for me to be comfortable with.

I am. Thank you. I said I like proactive people. Anthem said the link was fixed because the link was replaced, or “taken down.” They had no idea the link would still work if clicked by someone who was saving the link.
I tried the link and almost threw up when I saw you could see the previous person’s shipping info.
I had to hunt down the bad link by going through thousands of e-mails. I found it and sent it to the IT dept. The link is dead.
I’m trying the best I can. I don’t mind constructive criticism, but sometimes people, myself included, assign characteristics to written criticism that might not be there if you were hearing it face to face. It can come off as unduly combative.

BFH please reply to the many comments asking for the previous graphic. I’m a designer – I LOVED the original renderings – but I didn’t realize how powerful they were until you wiped out the punch with the poodle hair. It’s just an opinion, but it is shared by MANY on the site that this is a huge error. Please respond in some fashion.

That original image cannot be sold. The reasons for the modifications to that graphic are two-fold.
One – the tee shirt company that has volunteered its time and materials is a 3 color press. The art cannot be continuous tone.
Two – that art could be construed as a copyright infringement.

So, the remedy is what you see.
I would be remiss if I didn’t point out at this time that the image that was finalized is BREITBART’S HAIR. So, all these comments about the hair being silly, and poofy, and stoner, and poodley… you’re talking about Mr. Breitbart. That is the way he wore his hair. The book cover is the exception, not the norm.
I liked Andrew’s hair.
It was unkempt, frenetic and signaled the left that he could look like the left and not be the left. They don’t own ANY meme.
I prefer the updated version. For all these reasons and more.
I’m not arguing with you, I’m just explaining myself the best I can.
The other image is left on the site for you to view. It cannot be sold, even for non-profit. Sorry. Print it and post it. The image being sold isn’t the end all and be all. The idea here is to transform Breitbart into an icon to rival all icons.

I’m no expert in transaction site security. I would like to pose the question for Anthem that if BFH took a personalized link and inadvertently posted it here, and that inadvertently gave me and several others the personal info of more than 10 subsequent Anthem customers, then what is to stop someone else who orders at Anthem from doing the same thing, even inadvertently? If Anthem is still using the same transaction system that they were this morning, then it seems like the next customer could do the same thing…perhaps when attempting to make this “BREITBART IS HERE” phenomenon go viral. It seems a natural activity for someone who just ordered a T-Shirt to grab the URL in his browser and post it on his facebook page or tweet it out to others.

So, Anthem, take a look and see if that opening remains.

The issue is resolved and no one was harmed. -bfh

I don’t like the new picture, but what I DISLIKE MORE is the idea that people think they can add their two cents and make BFH change his design. WTF !@#$% Did fans tell Shakespeare to make edits?! I just sent BFH a Word Doc that has 30 labels using his ‘Breitbart Is Here’ bumper sticker as a label image. It uses the Avery 5260 Label Sheet – very standard.

I’ve been holding off on weighing in on this one, because I hate to be a party pooper. But I will say that personally, I find the idea of turning Breitbart into a messiah figure a little creepy. Andrew Breitbart was America’s modern day Paul Revere trying to wake America up!

There are the big government Socialist/Marxist/Communist radicals, and then there are those like Andrew Breitbart and Glenn Beck, and Sarah Palin, who are against big government and they are for the American Constitution of limited government and who rely more on tradition and their own ideas and labors when it comes to their personal lives, their mission, and their politics.

What sets Breitbart and Palin and others such as Allen West, Herman Cain as well as many others (including Ron Paul, as misguided as he is about defense and who’s fault it is for the hate that exists in the Mideast) is that they are all in the fight and they have stood against liars and cheats and coercive radical revolutionaries and it really has taken all of their effort and focus to do so. They took the extra steps and went the extra mile because they understand what is going on and what is at stake. And Andrew was a true gladiator at that.

He was restless and relentless because he, as well as Palin and our other Breitbarts, though not always in agreement on everything do understand that we are in a non-kinetic civil war, and what appears to be the late stages of a socialist revolution and the destruction of America from within which has been in the works while the ideas behind it are nothing new and have been refuted. What Andrew learned, and what he demonstrated through his actions, is that it takes a radical to beat a radical. God rest his soul and bless his family. He will be sorely missed.

And to Andrew, if you can read this up there, I never got to meet you and that is too bad because I live in your neck of the woods out here in Los Angeles. I just want to say, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for your service to your country. Love the imagery!

What is needed are little 2×4 or 3×5 stacks of stickers, bundle them 100 at a time… that sort of thing is incredibly useful if one puts their mind to it.

The best would be a yellow shirt with Breitbart in front and the Gadsden flag in back.

@Alpha re masks: I’m against masks for the following reasons:

Masks make people anonymous! Isn’t that the antithesis of what we want at any kind of event? Isn’t individualism something we uphold?

Masks are worn by the left to hide who they are and to make weak individuals feel “strong”. Their “weak selves” are stripped away to make them part of a “bigger” movement. And of course the police can’t identify them.

Tried to order two shirts. Click checkout and it tells me cart is empty. I did manage to send an e-mail to Anthem on the contact page.

I saved the bumper sticker image, but no luck printing it.

When the bugs are worked out of the Anthem system, I’m eager to buy t-shirts and bumper stickers – preferably, by the old fashioned method – writing a check and mailing it to Anthem.

I second True Conservative’s concern above, that the shirtmaker, anthemstudios.net, foments racial discord.
Go to the site and you see it makes shirts and posts links to promote a blog called ‘Stuff Black People Don’t Like,’ where you see posts, generally ugly and one-sided and thoughtless, about race.
A typical post interprets the decline of a city like “Black-run Detroit” as not only 1) the failings of progressive policies … but also 2) a supposed inferiority of black people themselves.

Breitbart would not approve. Breitbart would heartily endorse the first premise, and vehemently reject the second.

I had another idea that we could do…
My husband has a small business he is trying to get going and he has me leave his business cards everywhere I go – most stores around here have “community billboard” caulk-boards where you can stick flyers and cards and stuff; maybe we can print out the “Breitbart is Here” images on cards which we can then put up on those little boards? Everyone around here always stops to look at those boards. Perhaps we could even add a url on the backs of them to where people can donate to Andrew’s family once a fund is set up, or if one isn’t set up, then post the link to either the above blog post or to the Anthem site where they can get the shirts?

They make perforated card paper that you can load into your printer at home to make the ‘Breitbart is Here’ cards, or maybe we can find a right-friendly printing company who could then send any above cost profits from sales to the Breitbart family?

I put up a bad link. MY FAULT, not Anthem’s.
It allowed people to see who was last in line previous to you to order a shirt. It was shipping info, not banking.
It outed one Breitbart fan to one Breitbart fan.
People who posted the name were doing far more harm than the link itself. You were exposing that name to thousands of people, rather than ONE person seeing ONE person’s name.

Let me see if I understand what your saying here,
if I check the box that says “notify me….” I get an email every time someone leaves a comment, (hundreds), if you open one of those many emails, it has an option to “UNSUBCRIBE”, clicking on that opens an email addressed to: IOTW, but you then ignore it.
I send one of these unsubcribe emails every day, does no good.

So why bother with the “UNSUBCRIBE” option? Is there not a law that says your supposed to unsubcribe anyone who wants to unsubcribe?
I will look into that.

if I check the box that says “notify me….” I get an email every time someone leaves a comment, (hundreds), if you open one of those many emails, it has an option to “UNSUBCRIBE”, clicking on that opens an email addressed to: IOTW, but you then ignore it.
I send one of these unsubcribe emails every day, does no good.

So why bother with the “UNSUBCRIBE” option? Is there not a law that says your supposed to unsubcribe anyone who wants to unsubcribe?

I’m on a Mac, no mail option that I can find to send junk mail to my trash. No address bar to put this email into that could send it to trash.
