Frum Here To Obscurity

Home - by - March 2, 2012 - 10:00 America/New_York - 20 Comments

David Frum will be forgotten. Andrew Breitbart never will.

From Frum’s piece on the leftist rag The Daily Beast -

Arianna Huffington, wrote today: “All I can think is what Andrew meant to me as a friend … his passion, his exuberance, his fearlessness.” Breitbart was unquestionably passionate and was exuberant. If by “fearless” you mean perpetually eager for confrontation, then yes he was fearless too, although in a very particular way. Nobody would ever describe Andrew Breitbart as a man of “quiet courage.” He delighted in the enraged outburst, the shouted insult, the videotaped jab of a finger into an opponent’s chest.

Because President Obama was black, and because Breitbart believed in using every and any weapon at hand, Breitbart’s politics did inevitably become racially coded. Breitbart’s memory will always be linked to his defamation of Shirley Sherrod and his attempt to make a national scandal out of back payments to black farmers: the story he always called “Pigford” with self-conscious resonance.

!snip!

Frum is so very alone in the world.

Calling Frum a conservative is just a matter of relativism. If you compare the Castro Brothers, Van Jones, Sean Penn and Hugo Chavez, one will inevitably be the biggest Communist and one will be the least. That doesn’t mean the same thing as a true conservative.

“A white person holding a non-white person accountable for what they say and do is racist.”

This concept is one of the primary pillars on which liberal stupidity resides.

OK Fur, now that’s just too “coincedental”. I think this is the 3rd time in recent weeks. Ted’s still a braindead douchnozzle, but TCM is one of the only outlets where America is still on display in all her glory! You saw this last night too, didn’t ya?

“Because President Obama was black, and because Breitbart believed in using every and any weapon at hand, Breitbart’s politics did inevitably become racially coded.”

The way to rewrite that first sentence correctly, starts with:
“Because President Obama uses his race as both a shield and an excuse…..”

    @CrustyB, I agree

    David who?

I remember the Woody Allen character, “Judy Kum,” played marvelously by Mira Sorvino.

    I’ve forgotten David Frum already.

Sad really, Frum really missed the mark on Sherrod and Pigford.

His aim is so bad he probably has to sit down on the toilet when taking a wizz.
