Racism For Profit
“There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do do not want to lose their jobs.”
– – Booker T. Washington circa 1901
Black Quill & Ink is compiling a list of people who Mr. Washington was speaking of in that quote. They are currently fomenting racism for monetary and political gain.
Guess who are the first two people they list?

How on earth did Booker T. know about the Reverend Al and Rainbow Jesse (AKA The Justice Brothers)?

Wow! How prophetic was Mr. Washington? Boy did he ever have these race hustlers of today pegged for what they are. They desperately want to hold on to their grievances because there’s big money to be made.

Probably THE number one reason that blacks lag behind in education and income.
They’re not oppressed anymore and they don’t have to circle the wagons anymore. This whole notion of congressional black caucus, NAACP, black chamber of commerce and every other “black only” organization, divides and conquers them more than it benefits them.
As usual, the only people that benefit are the so-called leaders.

How fast would the race-hustlers of today be outta business if we were to go a little old-school and let Mr Cain, Col West, Lloyd Marcus, Thomas Sowell, Alfonso Rachel, and a few more of their Patriot bruthas string them up from the nearest tree?
Or is 147 years “too soon?”

Washington and Watts had it right – race hustlers and poverty pimps.
Al and Jesse are festering pustules on the ass of society.

Washington is one of my heroes and this quote is among the many reasons why.
I hate to admit but I actually used to be friends with the younger sibling of one of the people on BQI’s list. I’ve also met his wife and his mother. Mom was a gracious lady while wife was pissy and imperious.

I knew that Obama’s election was one of the worst things that could happen to the Sharptons & Jacksons of the world. “Never a black president” became one less grievance they could trade for cash. No wonder Jackson literally cried at Obama’s Chicago inauguration party.

Booker T. Washington knew what he was talking about because he had a contemporary, W. E. B. Du Bois, who was a racist, communist, narcissist who exploited blacks of his day. DuBois was also a Margaret H. Sanger (Planned Parenthood) associate.
