Adam Sparks writing at American Thinker says: Anthropogenic CO2 makes up about 3.2% of greenhouse gases. The New Zealand atmospheric scientist, Augie Auer, wrote that three-quarters of the earth is ocean, and 95 percent of the greenhouse effect is governed by water vapor.
“Of that remaining 5 percent, only about 3.6 percent is governed by CO2 and when you break it down even further, studies have shown that the anthropogenic (man-made) contribution to CO2 versus the natural is about 3.2 percent. So if you multiply the total contribution 3.6% by the man-made portion of it, 3.2%, you find out that the anthropogenic contribution of CO2 to the global greenhouse effect is 0.115 percent … that’s like .12 cents in $100. It’s minuscule … it’s nothing.” - Augie Auer
The Obama administration would like to sacrifice business growth, at an astronomical cost to both the taxpayer and the consumer, while slowing down our economy further, in order to reduce our carbon emissions by 20%. But, it’s not a total waste; he will be satisfying his own left wing base. Assuming the entire world cooperates with Obama’s plan, which it won’t, this initiative will have a negligent effect on Global Warming.

Cowgirl, you hit the nail on the head – it is about re-distribution and on this issue at least, it is global re-distribution. Everything this administration has on their agenda is a power-grab designed to financially destroy America and her citizens and to shatter the image we have singularly held since our beginning. Although this has been a decades-long effort, this WH and 111th Con-gress have ramped up and truly have declared war on us. And what’s on the news right now? Tiger Woods, who needed a driver last night, but didn’t have a Caddy cause he wrecked it.

The biggest scam ever played on mankind.
They use flawed Global Climate models to predict worse case scenario climate sensitivity, and then guess the probability of possible catastrophic circumstances to sell a hypothetical problem.
Brilliant.
Now,I’ve given Gores AGW tactics some thought and think I’ve found an interesting correlation….
He uses the “VERDICT” of a panel of “EXPERTS” (The IPCC) to promote the dangers of AGW. He then claims that the “DEBATE” on this subject is over, and all those who disagree, despite the evidence, are Global Warming “DENIERS”.
Now let’s face the mirror towards Al…here we have a guy who wanted badly to be President right? He lost a close election and took his case to a panel of “EXPERTS” (The Supreme Court) who came to the “VERDICT” that the “DEBATE” was over.
Gore, to this day, has a hard time accepting this outcome, and despite the evidence, he is an election DENIER.
Is there a psychologist who can make something of this?

Yes to Cowgirl and Rebecca! Global Warming IS a man caused disaster- it was leftist men who created this hoax that will certainly be a disaster for all western nations.
The left has been engaging in this ‘chicken little’ activity for many decades. While their supposed outcome always stays the same, a total destruction of the planet, the ways in which man is causing earth’s demise has gone through so many changes it resembles a guilty suspect who changes their story every couple of hours. From over population, to food shortages, to the ozone layer(which led to the awful pump hair spray), to overflowing landfills, to the new ice age, to global warming, to global climate change. Whatever term they use is a red herring. The ultimate goal is one ‘equal’ world.

You all are leaving out the most despicable thing of all. For two decades they scared and depressed the minds of impressionable school children with their unfounded hysterical apocalyptic story of global disaster.
There are lots of kids who feared they would die at a young age because of what they were exposed to in school. Are all these millions of children ever going to receive an apology from these educational child molesters?
And these are some of the same people who foamed at the mouth in indignantion about the paranoia of the Fifties and “McCarthyism”
