Polish President Plane Crash Is Getting Interesting

Conspiracy theorists were all over the incident last year. Now a Polish prosecutor, who was investigating the plane crash and the military, shoots himself after presser. He survived and is now saying he has been targeted for assassination and has a bounty on his head. The tin foil hat crowd is in full attenuation. They might be on to something this time.

    After Bud Dwyer did this in Philly, the local joke was:

    Q: What’s the difference between Bud Dwyer and Bud Light?

    A: Bud Light has a head on it.

    Not sure how that will translate to Polish.

    Even Wikipedia writes somewhat hedgingly about the crash. Among lots of other interesting information, note the second half of the last sentence:

    “According to the Polish report [which was different than the Russian report] the main cause of accident was trial approach and the descent below the allowed altitude at an excessive rate of descent in bad weather conditions, in conjunction with too late execution of the go-around procedure. Circumstances that led to this are insufficient training of the Polish pilots but also errors on part of the Russian air traffic controllers who gave wrong information to crew of Tu-154M.”

    I’m reminded of a guy I met at college when I was around 21 – he had also tried to commit suicide, failed – only injured himself in the head… ?!?

    this story screams

    YER NOT DOIN’ IT RIGHT

    I have to say that I’ve always treated this crash as highly suspicious. Normally, I don’t go in for conspiracy theories but Russia under Putin is a thugocracy, I would never entirely rule out this sort of treachery from them.
