What I “love” are the comments from folks like Landrieu, saying that this vote to “debate” in no way means that they are committed to voting for the bill on the floor. Do they think we’re stupid? It takes 60 votes to bring a bill up, and only 50 (with Hairplugs casting the tiebreaker) to pass the sucker. Harry Reid doesn’t need Mary Landrieu’s vote to pass the bill, but needed it to get the ball rolling, and bring it, ultimately, to a vote. The best way to stop this bill cold was to vote “no” tonight, effectively killing at least this version.
Again, does she think we’re that stupid that she thinks we can be fooled? Or is SHE that stupid that she thinks her vote doesn’t all but guarantee its passage?

I’m not sure why anybody should be surprised. Lousiana and NJ are in a race to determine which state has more corruption (although one can hope that the new governor can pull NJ out of the competition). Hell, she’ll probably get a standing ovation from her state for screwing the rest of the country out of 300 million which will disappear into the open pit of corruption and graft (following the Katrina money down the rathole). The real shame is that outside of a few websites and blogs no one will really challenge this woman on what is really out and out theft from others.

She is following in the footsteps of some other LIFE long Senator /Rep whores. Two that come to mind are Murtha and Kennedy. Murtha called his own constituents ‘racists’ and still won. When I asked my brother in law, who lives in Boston, why Ted , after all the scandals, kept getting reelected. His first response was that Ted brought a lot of money to the state. “Yeah, but it was mired in corruption, ala the big dig, much of it skimmed” I said. “It doesn’t matter, he brought US money”. That’s it, y’all. THAT is Mary the whore’s new campaign- screw the rest of the country- I got YOU money” and it WILL WORK. ARRRRGH!

Yeah. The Dems sure have been stimulated, but we knew what Barack was doing when he utilized McCain’s campaign reform so wisely and it was reinforced when they passed the massive spending bills. Rush says these pols are kamikaze. He was echoing my thoughts but I am beginning to think that they have that much confidence in the price they have accrued from us for us. How twisted is this!?
