Colorblind Society is Racist Too
A twisted pretzel Rongoloid tried this line of reasoning with me 2 days ago.
The following tripe from Psychology Today amounts to this:

Colorblindness alone is not sufficient to heal racial wounds on a national or personal level. It is only a half-measure that in the end operates as a form of racism.
Strong words, yes, but let’s look the issue straight in its partially unseeing eye. In a colorblind society, Whites, who are unlikely to experience disadvantages due to race, can effectively ignore racism in American life, justify the current social order, and feel more comfortable with their relatively privileged standing in society (Fryberg, 2010). Most minorities, however, who regularly encounter difficulties due to race, experience colorblind ideologies quite differently. Colorblindness creates a society that denies their negative racial experiences, rejects their cultural heritage, and invalidates their unique perspectives.
Let’s break it down into simple terms: Color-Blind = “People of color — we don’t see you (at least not that bad ‘colored’ part).” As a person of color, I like who I am, and I don’t want any aspect of that to be unseen or invisible. The need for colorblindness implies there is something shameful about the way God made me and the culture I was born into that we shouldn’t talk about. Thus, colorblindness has helped make race into a taboo topic that polite people cannot openly discuss. And if you can’t talk about it, you can’t understand it, much less fix the racial problems that plague our society.
So what is Monnica getting at? Here’s her solution.
- Recognizing and valuing differences,
- Teaching and learning about differences, and
- Fostering personal friendships and organizational alliances
Moving from colorblindness to multiculturalism is a process of change, and change is never easy, but we can’t afford to stay the same.

There is nothing shameful in the way God made you or me, but what about the culture thing, and the “we shouldn’t talk about” thing? First, having an HONEST discussion about culture doesn’t happen, and it’s not the whites that are preventing it.Examples: If I say that it is blindingly stupid that people riot and even kill over some new basketball shoes, someone will call me racist (and they’re not white), because they somehow see it as a threat to their culture and I just don’t understand it. If I say I’m against Illegal Immigration, someone will call me racist against Hispanics when I didn’t mention race at all.

I am also proud that I live in a free country(for now)where I may chose who I want to know or don’t know, befriend or not, like or not, and so and so on.
Sick and VERY tired of being called names because I will NOT accept any thing that is against my religion! How colorblind is this? So there were positions open for 30 firefighters. All 30 firefighters who passed the test got hired. The blacks protested because the test was too hard. In other words, the blacks weren’t smart enough to pass the test. So they made the test easier so the blacks could get hired. How embarrassing to the blacks – they ain’t smart or qualified but got the job because of the color of their skin.

I’m caucasun and I’ve been the victim of racism. I worked on ships for Military Sealift Command and for a few years we had a detailer, a black woman, who was known by everyone to be very rascist. Her hatred of whites was common knowledge. She sent us to the most undesirable ships and blacks to the most desirable. She got fired after a few years. Lots of complaints about her.
Racism is the idea that the content of character is determined by race. Monnica Williams doesn’t reject that idea, she wants it to be celebrated.
Ayn Rand said that racism is the crudest form of collectivism. The Left has always tried to portray the Right as racist, like the Archie Bunker stereotype, but it’s actually the Left that promotes the idea that character and race are intertwined. They can’t think out of the box of collectivism.

Anyone who says that blacks should be treated differently is basically racist. If two people do the same thing, and one is deem to be doing something immoral and inexcusable while the other is considered to be doing something explainable and acceptable purely because the former is white and the latter is black, then what that judgement system says is that blacks are not human beings to be held to the same standard as everybody else.
If a bunch of guys of the same race run down the street, find someone of a different race, and then beat him to within an inch of his life, leaving the victim with permanent, debilitating injuries, then to say it’s only racism if the perps are white is to say that whites live on a higher scale of morality than blacks. That means that blacks need to be treated the same way as escaped wild animals because they can’t be held accountable for their actions in the same way as white people.
So the “appreciate the differences” apologists are simple racists who want to place blacks in a category of something less than human in regards to behavioral expectations.

Here’s a story about racial sensitivity gone amuck.
A friend of mine did some metal work for the guilt ship Amistad when if was being built at Mystic Seaport in Mystic, Connecticut. As it was a 19TH century, ship the hardware was done in the traditional style of the period. The director of the project, a black woman, made them remove the straps and reforge the ends into the “bean” shape apparently fearing that the “spade” shape would be seen as an intended insult to people of color.
On another occasion at a meeting with workers, the same women noticed a coffee mug that had “I like my coffee the same as my women, black and sweet” on it. She demanded that the mug be removed from the meeting room but as it belonged to the white skipper of a yacht that was being used to house some workers, he refused and she had to suck it up.
A side note: When you go aboard the Amistad, they fail to mention that some of the blacks when freed became slave owners and traders themselves.

If ‘racist’ defined means that I am absolutely, positively, 110% proud to be a white man, proud of our accomplishments, attitudes, beliefs, work ethics, family values, consistensies, skill levels, eduation levels, ‘civility’, and every other measure of what makes a successful society, then I am one racist mo-fo….for me to attempt, for a nanosecond to be something other than what I am and was born to be is about a racist a statement sa can be made!

The bottom line – Progressive/Socialist/Communist like Monnica?? need a personal revelation.
She’s a foolish person and bound to never get it right because she lives in a fairytale world void of reality.
Monnica?? needs to be sent to Africa to; be treated like a second and third class citizen, have minimal to zero civil rights and live without electricity, sewer systems and none existent to little healthcare (not only obamacare like health system but no decent hospitals).
Monnica?? would not last a week as an black woman in ANY African nation. Not to mention African nations overrun by Muslims. She’s to pampered and clueless. Her only possible hope would be to declare herself “white”.

She also bastardizes what Martin Luther King meant by “content of character” which was an excellent observation about self determination and personal responsibility.
Note: Martin Luther King had some very socialist leaning but at least he knew people had free will.
The special privileges – social programs like Affirmative Action only enslave recipients, creates a false sense of security and destroys communities and families because they’re directly linked to government control.
Most Blacks and Latinos are not getting “ahead” because they’re are NOT providing for themselves.
When the social programs are gone they will have nothing but struggle and turmoil in their communities – ex. Watts riots etc.
In general, most Whites are more prepared for the worst of times and will survive the onslaught of economic collapse.
Blacks, Latinos need to know Whites are not their problem.
