Update on the Politician Who Facebooked the Obama Threat Saying Assassinate That F****ing N****r and his Monkey Children
The leftosphere had a field day saying the guy was “a Tea Party Darling”? At the time I asked, where? I never heard of the guy before.
Turns out, get this, he’s anti-Tea Party. He’s a libertarian atheist who had a site called SupportAtheism.com

The best coverage of this seems to come from a left-winger blog called Angry Black Lady Chronicles. Left-wing or no, the poster there did a good job tracking down all the particulars of the story and comes to the proper conclusion that this nutcase, Jules Manson, has no connection whatever with the Tea Party movement. As DeHavelle notes, Manson has statements showing him to be anti-Tea Party, even. Not only that but Manson was the editor of SupportAtheism.com. So, he’s not religious, either. This guy seems to be quite far from the Tea Party movement.
Sadly, what we see here are all sorts of bloggers and news sources leaping to a story, labeling a kook, but not taking the time to get down to the truth before hitting that post now button. We saw this when that criminal, mental case shot Gabrielle Giffords, as well. That shooter was labeled a Tea Partier even before anyone even knew his name. How one can claim they know a person’s entire history before they even know a name… well, that one was never explained to me.

It won’t change the narrative among leftist but at least someone showed a thread of intellectual honesty and investigated this.
What I can’t figure out is how Libertarianism has become such a catch all for overt racists. There’s always been an atheist/agnostic aspect but racism is not something I has associated with Libertarians before say about 4 years ago.

We saw this when that criminal, mental case shot Gabrielle Giffords, as well. That shooter was labeled a Tea Partier even before anyone even knew his name. How one can claim they know a person’s entire history before they even know a name… well, that one was never explained to me.
People who knew Jared Loughner say he was in fact, very liberal and that his obsession with Gabby Giffords went back to 2006, long before there was a Tea Party movement and before Sarah Palin had achieved any national prominence.

I’m too angry about this. I have been reading all day about how this guy is a moron Christian Teabagger. Yet another lie to try to fit us into their mold.
Guys and Gals, it doesn’t matter if you are paranoid or not, sometimes they really are out to get you.
I thank God that the Tea Party people really are smart enough not to do this kind of crap.

A bit OT but…
A strange thing happened to me at a York Pa. Cracker Barrel this morning while driving back from BWI. A 19 to 21 year old and his date were walking out behind me when I heard him say to her that God did not have anything to do with our freedoms, it was James Madison.
Now normally I let this stuff go but this time I did not and just as he reached the door I said, you can say God had nothing to do with it but James Madison believed God had everything to do with it. He looked like I had torn all his cloths off in public. His jaw was like a yo yo but could say nothing. I turned up the heat and said – He made no distinction between the two and the two were enseperable. “Look it up” I said.
His girlfriend looked at him like, save this argument, he looked like I had caned him and had no response still. He was in shock walking out the door backwards just looking at me with his mouth open.
FreeLady was buying somthing on the rack next to the door and when I walked over to her she had asked what I had said since she heard what he said also and then saw me talk to him.
I felt good. I need to do this more.

Many moons ago Freeman, I to had a similar argument.
A large, and kindly gent too at that, to run off like he did, once he graciously handed me my fallen spectacles after witnessing a feat of lubricily induced self punishment that would shatter mere mortals.
He’ll never try assertively cutting in on Two Stepping Abe and a young lady again. I can assure you.
Only difference between our Pa experiences was that my pupil was a guido, who asked me what it was I didn’t understand.
Other than that it was practically the same argument, just different dialects.

You did exactly what you should have done. I will admit I was once a lefty. I was because my grandparents were and I was innudated with the thinking. I was furious anytime I heard Limbaugh say anything. I started listening to him just where I could get angry at him. Rush made me angry and he made me think and I started trying to refute his arguments and couldn’t.
The guy you talked too was probably just like me, parroting something he had heard to his girlfriend who would just nod and agree.
I hope and pray people on the left stop and think and research to refute our arguments, hoever too many of them don’t. If they would do REAL RESEARCH then we could have REAL DIALOG instead of us hitting them with facts and them hitting us with insults.
