How interesting I just wrote a post about the proper pronunciation of KSM’s name.

First off, the “KH” represents the Arabic phlegmatic or “hawk a lugie” H. It’s not a K sound at all — it’s a disgusting variant of H. If you’ve ever heard an Arab speak, your ears were no doubt assaulted by this disgusting consonant related noise, which sounds exactly like someone hawking up a lunger t

As for Khalid, it rhymes with salad. So if you can imagine yourself “Khawking” a lugie into “Khalid’s salad” (and who couldn’t)you got the proper pronunciation down pat.
