“Mac”, as they like to call him, is actually friends with this woman – she works at Columbia, but isn’t a teacher. He hit her so hard, she fell over and the punch could be heard in the kitchen. No bail was set, and no charges filed yet, but I hope she gets herself in front of a judge and works to put him away……..someone on my Facebook page said “her racist face got in the way of his affirmative action fist”. This guy is small, cowardly, and needs to be taught a lesson….I wonder if she has any big brothers?

Quick Note for the record: Columbia is located in the Morningside Heights section of Harlem. Although Main Campus is from 114th Street to 120th Street, other buildings stretch south past 110th and north past 125th. For them to be at a bar on 125th Street, it sounds like a common after-work, neighborhood hangout.

Maybe she asked for a Planters Punch during the “white privilege” conversation and he thought she was making a plantation joke? She probably shouldn’t have ordered the crackers…

The article describes the place as “a popular university bar.” A waiter said the woman is well know there — “a great lady, always nice to everybody, and doesn’t deserve anything like this.” And the discussion with the black professor also included another male regular who is white.

What is total crap is the prof’s statement afterwards. “It was a very unfortunate event. I didn’t mean for it to explode the way it did.”

Yeah, right. Assault and battery is a CRIME, not an “unfortunate event.”
