We Are Wall Street

Raw Story

Someone in the Chicago Board of Trade dropped leaflets on top of “Occupy Chicago” protesters Wednesday afternoon as they rallied alongside unions in the city’s financial district.

“We are Wall Street,” the leaflet said. “It is our job to make money.”

“Go ahead and continue to take us down, but you’re only going to hurt yourselves,” it continued. “What’s going to happen when we can’t find jobs on the Street anymore? Guess what: We’re going to take yours.”

“Do you really think we are incapable of teaching 3rd graders and doing landscaping?” the leaflet asked. “We aren’t dinosaurs. We are smarter and more vicious than that, and we are going to survive.”

SNIPPETY SNIIP!!!

Nice! That letter is a rolled up newspaper on the snout of these unruly dogs.

Never have understood the mentality that because someone isn’t smoking a cigar and talking like a longshoreman, that they aren’t “working.” That little guy or gal in the office crunching the regular time and O.T. should go home sick when paychecks are due out and watch the SEIU wieners cry like little girls.

I would have loved to have been able to see the looks on the morons’ faces as the papers fell down to them like fall leaves. They’ll kick a$$ and keep on working. “Work ethic,” what a flippin’ concept.

I don’t know why all these protesters are pissed at the bankers and Wall Street traders. It’s a business – they are in the business to make money just like any other business. If any one of those protesters had a business, they would operate it the same way. They would also employ people to make even more money for them. What’s wrong with that? I’m a pure capitalist. These protesters should go to China and live and meet some real hard line commies. I bet they would change their tune then. Work 16 hour days without a break in a sweat shop. The clothes they are wearing came from a business – probably a sweat shop business. Where’s the protest in that? Hypocrites!

If you want a glimpse into the OWS mentality, read the comments with the article.
    Their logic is actually child-like:
“Daddy have all the money. No FAIR! Me want candy!”

Here’s one e.g.: “They club seals don’t they!”
Uh…sure, honey. Maybe you should just put down that bong.

    LIR-
No they aren’t. I see fingers pointing outward not inward. The problem is the government BY THE PEOPLE have these assholes milling about. The problem is that WE THE PEOPLE allowed the government to tie themselves to private banking which in turn tied themselves to the insurance industry which tied themselves to Wall Street. That problem has been identified and the TEA party is protesting that while these dirtbag assholes mocked the TEA party. These people you seem to have a bonding with are not to be romanticized. They are the opposite end of the robber baron spectrum, themselves robbers, who are powerless because of their own choices and ignorance, and who scattershot at a whole host of targets that are NOT the problem.
I guess you have the ability to look at Hitler and say, “well, he has a good point in there somewhere aside from all the hate and carnage.” -bfh

These children should be outside the White House, Frank/Dodd’s Houses, and universities! But they are just sheep and zombies for sure because they cannot think for themselves so they will never figure it out. Hopefully they will lead themselves to their own extinction, kind of like the Dodo birds.

    Exactly right, Freedomcat.
    College costs too much?
Well, it’s the people loaning us the money to go there that is the problem.

And LIR agrees with this line of thinking.

No, the problem is that the gubberment bullied their way into the capitalist system and GUARANTEED the loans, which sent a signal to the colleges that they can skyrocket costs at no risk and the taxpayer will cover it.

The answer to this problem is -
    PURE CAPITALISM, not corporatism.

Those ignorant kiddies, as well as LIR, should be protesting for LIMITED government and protesting politicians.
The capitalists that own colleges were corrupted by the government and turned ever so slowly into corporatists, and the dumbasses who signed up for these colleges were programmed to point their fingers of blame at the wrong people.
    It’s a comical circle jerk.

“Those financial types should learn that words have actual meanings. “Borrowing” other people’s money and making risky bets with it isn’t “making” money.”

So should idiots. Borrowing money, taking a risk, and making a profit is *exactly* making money. If farmers don’t make bets with their money, we don’t eat. If manufacturers don’t make bets with money, we don’t have jobs.

It’s the moochers and looters who think there’s some *other* way to make money.

Each side here is arguing as to who is more key to creating wealth… the blue-collars who create the products, i.e. the farmers, ranchers, carpenters, electricians, bricklayers… or the white-collars, many of whom produce a “market” for those real skills and basic food products.

Seems to me that they are inter-dependent… without the basic, core skills, the actual product would cease to exist; these folks are needed at a product’s inception and building phase.
But we live in a global economy and don’t just sell our electrical/plumbing/carpentry skills to those down the street and farmers cannot survive only on “Farmers Markets” (buying/selling local). These Wall-Streeter bankers actually ‘make a market’ for these products, whether they be buildings, cars, computers, or pork bellies.

It’s not a question of being competent or even able to do a specific job. If bloated union workers’ jobs and their bloated pay are up against a bunch of people that are used to cutthroat tactics (your throat!), guess who’s going to get that job? These guys know the art of the deal. They’ll sound better to the interviewers. They’ll have a better support team — when one discovers the exact things to say to get the job, it will be passed on to all the others. These people know the tricks and use what is necessary to get the job done. They are true networkers and will undercut the union salary demands and provide a better product.

Come one, libtards! Take down Wall Street and watch your jobs get taken over by people that are ruthless when it comes to dealing and are not afraid to destroy anyone that gets in their way. Then who are you going to blame? Bush? Or will you finally blame the real culprits — Obama, Dodd, Frank, Pelosi, Reid, and socialism in general?

    Ooookkkkay! I got it:

BFH and IOTW folk believe Wall Street and Goldman Sachs and all those folk who make up computer models in order to make themselves richer and richer and generate all the auto-trades on the market are good, good, good capitalists. They *deserve* what they got. They *earned* it.

Matt Tiabbi is a whifflehead and the folk in Jefferson County Alabama deserve to pay $400 a month sewer bills to pay off JPMorgan Chase debt — because Morgan Chase *earned* all those trickster bucks from the Alabama rubes. That’s capitalism.

And the country of Greece was never scammed by Goldman Sachs. No siree! Goldman Sachs *earned* every penny of interest Greece was supposed to pay. Writing up all those tricky deals is *hard.*

Same for all the damn stupid fools who got suckered into mortgages they didn’t understand, couldn’t afford: don’t worry; the price will go up, up, and away and you can pay off the house with all the money you’ll have when you sell it.

*I* think you folk have a pretty warped sense of capitalism, creating value, but I understand what you value, believe in.
