    The Schiavo debate seemed to be a key moment in the beginning of the end of my cousins’ marriage. He married a lib who claimed she was “independent”, her family was a bunch of hard core flaming liberals. During the news coverage of Schiavo, he brought up abortion to his (now-ex) Demcrat father in law. The father-in-law made a comment about “…do you want the country covered with ni**ers and sp***s ?!?” it seemed to be a very disturbing eye-opener, but that’s the way it is with leftists.
