I am perfectly happy with the way God designed our food. Honey is the only sweetener I ever use.

Monsanto is an evil power-hungry group of lawyers and thugs. They genetically modify food so they can patent the seed and put small family farms out of business. George Soros is one of their big stock holders.

    Thanks for posting this.

Grow your own, or purchase from someone you know or locally.

Amazing – An avocado or strawberry farmer in California has to worry about his entire crop being condemned by the FDA if a coyote shits in the field….

grayscape, It’s not the Avocado or Strawberry farmers. It;s the Rice farmers in the central valley their killing. As a duck hunter I’ve watched what going on. Rice is like the number two export for Cali. And our esteemed leaders are trying to kill it. All the central valley farmers are super conservative. That can be the only motive I can come up with. They are also fairly militant. Tar—Feathers. I hope to god they do it.

I thought that the food production of Cali was ALREADY dead, killed by the regulations.

Dagney, It’s not regulation, It’s access to water.

Yes, Brad. Looks like you were (again) right on the money:

“California agriculture consumes about 80% of the state’s pumped water; nearly all cropland, and much forage and pasture land, is irrigated.”

“About 122,000 or 3% of California’s 4.4 million acres of land in cultivation are lost annually to erosion, salinization, and urban and industrial spread; about 50% of California’s cropland will be lost within 20 years if population growth and environmental degradation continue.”

@Brad – it’s ALL farmers. I first heard of the new Obama regulations at a California Avocado Society meeting 3 years ago (I’m a CAS member). Then more in 2011..and more in 2012…

Bottom line: Progfarts HATE farmers….and intend to regulate farming out of existence.

so farmers are going down but production is going up?

    what is replacing farmers?

Dagney – progfarts buy their food at (wait for it…..) STORES. They have progressed beyond old-fashioned farms.

I’ve personally been called an “Idiot” because I dared suggest food is produced by farmers, not stores.

    We’re doomed.

A lot of fruits and veggies come from central and south Americas.

CA regulates water to protect anything from a non-native tiny fish to a plant that may or may not have been seen in existence.

I use artificial sugar because without it, I’d be limited to drinking only water. How exciting. However, I don’t drink as much of the sugar free stuff lately, and try to mix water into juice- which is kinda gross, but what choice do I have?

Why are they trying to make stuff SWEETER anyway? All that shit just taste like chemicals to me. Blech.

Damn, what a bunch of sick bastards-

“What they do not tell the public is that they are using HEK 293 – human embryonic kidney cells taken from an electively aborted baby to produce those receptors,”

And according to the article there’s very limited labeling requirement for it’s use in prepared foods and even things labeled “organic”

    Sick sick sick
