    This is a good example of why you keep your finger OFF of the trigger on a gun until you are ready to fire. I didn’t serve in the military but I was trained by ex-military and that’s one of the first things they stress.

    When a person experiences stress, their muscles naturally become more tense. If your finger is on the trigger and you are tense, you’re probably going to squeeze it and shoot yourself.
