If a major reason that supporters of Chuck Hagel cite for confirming him is the fact that he served in Vietnam and was awarded two Purple Hearts, then there are many other candidates who would fit the bill as well!

Hagel’s nomination is blocked for now, but I believe the opposition will fold now that they have had the chance to make a scene, and Hagel will be confirmed next week, if it takes that long.
