    As a CA resident with no handgun in my car, I imagine that I would feel a need to get aggressive with my 3500 lb. car if there was no way to escape the situation. That would likely result in damage and potentially injury. By being able to pull a handgun he was able to avoid that.

    The arab kid knew exactly what to do (get on the ground with his hands behind his head); either the man with the gun gave him very clear instructions, or it wasn’t the first time the kid had a gun pulled on him.
