Two ‘tard CA assemblymen have introduced a bill to force gun owners to purchase liability insurance in case they shoot somebody. One of the ‘tards, Assemblyman Philip Ting of San Francisco, said that it is similar to forcing you to buy auto insurance.
Hardly. The state has the power to force you to register your car. SCOTUS ruled that shortly after cars were introduced and used in crimes. Part of that requirement is to have insurance in case you cause damage to property or people. Registering your car is not a right.
Owning a gun IS a right. No state can compel me to enter into a mercantile contract (insurance) as part of my claiming and exercising a constitutional right.
Also, read the last paragraph in the story for some unintentional humor from the ‘tards in the CA legislature.

Glad I left before my children were old enough to start the indoctrination process. You have to be either a fool or a prisoner to live in such a communist police state full of progressive perverts who want more rights for the deranged while taking away the rights of patriots.

Don’t get me wrong, I still have family and friends in the People’s Republic of California.
But the ones who are happy living there must have something wrong with them.

The way that loony bin is run I’m beginning to think they want everyone to leave the state.

Any bets the insurance will be through the state? Wouldn’t want to call it a TAX or anything.
