After looking at this case over the past few days I think there’s reasonable suspicion that Swartz was slammed because of his opposition to SOPA. He found out that democrat dickhead Dodd was the main proponent behind SOPA, that’s a bad enemy for anyone to have. In past years the DoJ has put pressure on hackers to join the federal government and work against the hackers (Dept of Defense or FBI depending on the individual). I don’t know if that was the intent of the charges, but the pressure definitely got to him.

I listened to a speech Swartz made about the anti-SOPA effort and it seemed he may have had a hipster-leftist view of life. I wonder if it will dawn on any of them that the leftist government-media complex is really the enemy of freedom.

    Thumb up +2
